Sierra Nevada, one of the most important peaks in Andalusia, which has a ski resort and a large number of pistes suitable for skiing, is approximately 60 minutes from Granada.  

For those that prefer to enjoy the Andalusian beaches, the Granada ‘CostaTropical’ offers beaches, sunshine and the small picturesque villages which are only 50 minutes from Granada. 

The village of Íllora is just 6 Km from Cortijo las Chorreras.  Amongst its monuments is the Church of The Incarnation designed by the architect Diego of Siloe.  Íllora forms part of the route of Washington Irving. The charming and interesting village of Montefrío, is also close to the Cortijo. Cortijo las Chorreras lies between the two villages, which aside from being rich in culture and historic monuments offer guests shops, supermarkets, banks, medical services, pharmacies, bars and restaurants.
